A 4K Camera Adapter w/ Native Support for All Cameras

NIPROS Orion system has control capability for every possible camera system. New Camera systems are cross-purpose capture platforms, each with changing interfaces and protocols for camera and lens control. Orion focuses on providing crews with native connectors and signals for maximum speed and convenience in the heat of production. Use familiar off-the-shelf cables instead of searching for proprietary breakout squid cables. Orion offers a dedicated 8pin SONY RCP connector, a 12P Serial Connector, 1GbE RJ45 and an independent LENS channel which can be connected to CCU/RCP Lens Port or used independently with CMotion Knob Solo Broadcast setup.

Optically Isolated Zero-delay Audio Communications

Every intercom audio channel is sent discretely on its own optical wavelength without any digitization or compression enabling clear instantaneous communication, with  mission critical reliability.

Rugged full-size connectors, along with Clear-Com embedded beltpack power allow for incredibly simple and intuitive camera station comms.

ORION BASE STATION

Orion's lightweight compact basestation equipped with every camera control interface for modern workflows, and all the connectors are dedicated native ports: 8p Sony RCP, 12p Serial with an additional dededicated 12P Iris channel, a LANC port and an independent 1GbE LAN port. 12G-SDI Return Channel, and Camera input channels 1&2 each have dual mirrored 12G-SDI outputs. The SDI outputs are re-clocked and provide a zero-latency output with a ideal waveform matching exactly the input. Timecode + loop-through, Reference input, and 2W Intercom inputs w/ Clear-Com / RTS support each have dedicated BNC Inputs, with a D-SUB 25pin connector for wet and dry Tally inputs and 4W Intercom. Despite the small form factor, the Orion Base Station includes dual power inputs, with an AC IEC connector input and a 4pin XLR DC input for varying workflows as well as redundant power.

The front side of the station has quick-read status display, as well as physical intercom control dials which allow technicians to keep their eyes on the prize while using muscle memory to adjust their audio mix and levels. Finally, a full-size XLR-4Pin supports the connection of a headset using the native connector directly into the front of the station for easy comms to each camera channel.
